Photograph of me in Barry Island, nearest beach to my home in Cardiff.
I am originally from a small rural village on the Lleyn Peninsula, North Wales where I was brought up in a Welsh speaking family. I have now been living in Cardiff for over half of my life, communicating bilingually in Welsh and English with my own family.
I had always talk about ‘home’ as the place I was brought up, but also now I refer to ‘home’ where I am currently living and where I’ve decided to place myself and my own family. The question of belonging, community and roots is a constant question in my mind.

I have worked in the Theatre sector in Wales for over 20 years, from co-founding a theatre company after graduating, managing projects and productions
I've always felt a passion towards Community work, working for 10 years with Night Out, Arts Council of Wales Community Touring scheme and making access, integrating community engagement and outreach a priority in every production I managed during my work as a freelancer.
